Job Description: A Housekeeper performs various cleaning tasks to ensure the cleanliness of the facility. These tasks include but are not limited to: mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, sweeping, dusting, polishing and buffing. A Housekeeper would be expected to clean resident and staff bathrooms, resident rooms, hallways, floors and walls, light fixtures and vents, common areas, offices, etc.
This position reports to the Environmental Services Director.
Cleans resident rooms and bathrooms. This includes vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning toilets, sinks and showers, dusting, emptying trash and disinfecting surfaces.
Refills various soap, towel and toilet paper dispensers.
Cleans common areas, offices, storage, work rooms, therapy, laundry and public bathrooms.
Dusts ceiling vents, lights and other high areas regularly.
Completes routine carpet cleaning as scheduled.
Assures personal and staff compliance to all State and Federal regulations including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials and fire safety.
Assures personal and staff compliance to Residents’ Rights.
Performs other duties as required.
Applicants for this position must have the ability to work quickly and effectively without having to return and correct errors. Applicants must also be able to manage a cleaning cart.
